The end of line deflagration flame arrester at the end of vent pipes prevents light-back at deflagration of potentially explosive vapour-air, and or gas-air mixtures of explosives group IIA1, IIA, IIB1, IIB2 and IIB3 with a standard gap (MESG) = 0.65 mm from outside (atmospheric conditions) to the protected side (e. g. storage tank).

The integrated pressure/vacuum valve limits the storage tank pressure up to the adjusted pressures.

Single & double-acting positioners RP01 require an input signal of 3÷15 psi for proportional control actuator. The Positioner compares the output signal from a controller with the position feedback, and varies a pneumatic output signal to the actuator accordingly. The actuator position is therefore guaranteed for any controller output signal and the effects of varying differential pressure.

To avoid a flame propagation from outside (atmosphere) to inside of systems e. g. storage tanks, vessels or in process plants a flame arrester at end of vent line has to be installed. End of line deflagration flame arresters protect the impact of atmospheric deflagration and prevent flame transmission to protect equipment. These flame arresters are not tested for short time or endurance burning.

Single & double-acting positioners RE01 require an input signal of 4÷20 mA for proportional control actuator

The Positioner compares the output signal from a controller with the position feedback, and varies a pneumatic output signal to the actuator accordingly. The actuator position is therefore guaranteed for any controller output signal and the effects of varying differential pressure.

Exclusively to be used with fluids

The safety valves of the series 4000 have been designed and are made exclusively to be used with fluids in the liquid state. They are therefore characterized by the absence of the blowdown ring and by the proportional lift that is the solution, with respect to the reliability, to protect equipment characterized by periodic peaks of pressure.

The most frequent use is therefore as safety valve for piston metering pumps, single or multiple head.

VD10 Serie is a two ways, single seat valve type with body material in Ductil Iron GGG40.3 PN16, designed to satisfy most of the medium/low pressure conditions to control fluids as steam, water, oil and other different general industrial medium.VD10 valves are designed to control a broad variety of fluids, like steam, water, most of the medium and gases. One of the main features of this serie is the top guided construction that assure a stable plug travel over entire stroke of the valve minimizing vibration and wear.

Flame arrester approved to EN ISO 16852 (formerly EN 12874) as end of line flame arrester for endurance burning prevents a light-back at deflagration and stabilized burning (during and after endurance burning) of potentially explosive vapor-air and/or gas-air mixtures at the end of vent pipes.

Endurance burning end of line flame arresters for alcohol (ethanol, methanol ...) or alcohol/petrol mixture have to have a special approval (see EN ISO 16852 Point 11.1 d).

Petrol stations offeringethanol petrol blends (Ethanol/Petrol mixture E5, E10, .. E50,...E85) have to be protected against flame propagation from outside with a end of line flame arrester special approved for this application.

For this purpose we are offering end of lineflame arresters approved for endurance burning of E5, E10, ...E50,..E85 (see below ).

An in-line deflagration flame arrester prevents light-back at deflagration of potentially explosive vapour-air and/ or gas-air mixtures.

If a flame front propagates through a pipe, its speed will increase proportionally to the length of the pipe.If a pipe is shorter than 50 times (respectively 30 times for explosion group IIB and IIC) its internal pipe diameter, the flame will propagate at subsonic speed. In this case, securing the protected side by a deflagration flame arrester will be sufficient. If the pipe is longer than 50 times its internal diameter (valid for explosion group IIA, IIB1, IIB2, IIB3 respective 30 times for explosion group IIB and IIC) flame will propagate at supersonic speed that means in a detonation.
A deflagration flame arrester operates at a lower pressure drop than a detonation flame arrester and is not suitable for detonation.

Our products are approved to EN ISO 16852 (formerly EN 12874) and are issued with an ATEX certificate.

High discharge coefficient (k=0.96)

Safety valves 10000 Series, designed and manufactured by Technical s.r.l. in accordance with international standards, are full nozzle and total lift type. They posses a high discharge coefficient (k=0.96), certified by I.S.P.E.S.L. on the basis of experimental tests performed by authorized laboratories; are suitable for gaseous and liquid fluids.

The body and the bonnet are made from casting. The bonnet contains or the spiral spring or belleville springdepending on the use and type of fluid.

The seat is plane and "metal on metal" type; it is possible to add valves with a soft sealing ring (FPM rubber). Upon request, the valve is also available with accessories such as the packed lifting lever,test gag, and balancing-isolation bellows.

KA20 is a globe control valve designed to ensure perfect control of industrial fluid systems with operating pressures up to 105 bar.

Designed according to ANSI standard, KA20 is available in carbon steel (WCC), Stainless Steel (CF8M) and specialalloys materials on request (Duplex, Monel, Hastelloy, etc...) KA20 offers several configurations like: reduced bores, anti-noise and anti-cavitation trim, to meet all the control needs.

Flame arresters approved as in-line detonation flame arresters prevent light-back at the deflagration and stable detonation of potentially explosive vapor-air and/or gas-air mixtures.

The safety valves series SV 10001 are made of stainless steel SS 316L, as a standard, and of superalloys, on request. The main features of the valves in this series are: connections ¼ ", the adjustable outlet connection (allows easy mounting) and the isolation of the spring from the fluid.

These elements make it the ideal solution for all applications where there is limited space for the installation of the safety valve, high pressures associated with small flow rates, at least in the case of liquids. For this series PED certification and CE marking is available up to 700 bar (10,000 psi) set pressure.

Full nozzle and full lift safety valves, suitable for gas, vapour and liquid service. 20000 Series safety valves have a "metal on metal" seat and are available in bronze, carbon steel, stainless steel and superalloy, with orifice diameter from 8 mm to 9,5 mm. Connections can be flanged or threaded, from ½" to 1". Maximum setting pressure 700 bar. Typical application : protection of tank under pressure ; protection against thermal expansion, cryogenics.

Volume end of line deflagration flame arresters prevents light-back from inside a vessel to the outside (atmosphere) at deflagration of potentially explosive vapour-air and/or gas-air mixtures.

Ignition inside of a vessel (container) creates a high pressure, temperature and velocity of flow. Therefore volume end of line deflagration flame arresters shall be tested under the original condition.

Filling or liquid delivery line at storage tank can be protected with an end of line liquid product detonation flame arrester. This flame arrester works like a siphon. The liquid product is used to form a liquid flame arrester medium to prevent flame transmission of a detonation.

The 30000 Series pressure relief valves have been designed for steam, gaseous and liquid fluids applications. The valvesare of full-nozzle, full lift and spring loaded type.
Orifices, dimensions, connections, materials and application limits are in accordance with API 526 Standard and are homologated by ISPESL.

The valve body is a casting with thickness in compliance with standard ASME B 16.34. The wide internal hollow of the body assures an easy expansion of the discharging fluid and a minimum back pressure due to discharge.

Vapour Recovery Stage I Vapour Adaptor with Poppet Valve and Flame Arrestor.

This Camlock Vapour Adaptor with ATEX certificat prevents transmission of deflagration (flame) in the case of uncontrolled ignition.

Camlock Vapour Recovery Adaptor with self sealing poppet valve is designed to EN 14420-7 and tested to EN 13081.

The unit is calculated to minimize pressure drop and to maximize the efficiency of recovered petrol vapours during delivery.

Camlock connection is available in 3" and 4".

Pilot operated safety valve

30000P Series Pilot Operated Safety Valves by Technical are designed in compliance with EN 12516-1 and ASME B 16.34 standards and, as they derive from 30000 Series, spring-loaded valves, orifices and center-to-face dimensions are compliant with API 526 standards.

Available orifices range from D up to U with connections from 1" x 2" up to 10" x 12" and rating from 150# x 150# up to 2500# x 600# according with ASME B 16.5 standard.

With an installed pressure/vacuum valve at the vent pipe displacement of (VOC) vapours are significantly reduced and the idea of environmental protection is maintained.

To open a p/v valve pressure has to be created up to e.g. 30mbar.

This 30mbar pressure doesn’t sound like much, but in nearly empty 10.000 litre storage tank this pressure can create up to 300 litre of (VOC) pressurised vapours.

This 300 litre of (VOC) vapours will escape as soon vapour recovery stage IB or/and the delivery point has been opened. The tanker driver is exposed to these vapours several times every day over yearSame amount of gas will hit the engineer during service and maintenance.

This cannot be a healthy working environment.

With the PressureRelease Valve installed parallel to the vent, the pressure in the storage tank can be relived to the vent.

That means, that before opening the storage tank, the tanker driver, service engineer or station manager can release the tank pressure manually through the bypass valve. After realising the pressure the valve is closing automatically and the pressure/ vacuum valve is in charge again.

This solution provides a safer and healthier environment for both the employees and members of the public.
